Bonn-Gatchina Partial Wave Analysis

The Bonn-Gatchina model is a framework for partial wave analysis developed over the past two decades and provides a robust tool for analyzing a variety of responses within a coupled channel approach.

The model is characterized by the use of a K-matrix formalism that includes a wide range of channels, including many two-body systems as well as the electromagnetic channel and some three-body states. It uses a covariant tensor formalism for the decomposition of partial waves and the extraction of the quantum numbers total angular momentum, parity and isospin. A pole and background parameterization for the K-matrix enables the modeling of resonant and non-resonant transitions.

This model has been a major contributor to the identification of new resonances, many of which are now listed in the Particle Data Group summary tables.
