During the modification of the experiment, the Crystal Barrel detector was integrated as a first level trigger (see publication below). This significantly increased the trigger efficiency for neutral final states, allowing photoproduction measurements on neutrons in addition to protons.
During the data collection in October 2018, a transversely polarized dbutanol target and a linearly polarized beam were used. This allowed the collection of data suitable for the extraction of double-polarization observables for reactions on neutrons.
A comparison of the data obtained in the CBELSA/TAPS experiment on the proton and on the neutron is already providing new insights into the isospin structure of the electromagnetic excitation of the nucleon (see publication below).
